Membership value credits are monetary credits given with the purchase of a membership that can be used towards appointments or product purchases, based on the membership configuration.
Things to Know:
- The ability to configure membership value credit is governed by the "Memberships" access control setting.
- By default, membership value credits cannot be used to pay for taxes or fees; they can only be used for purchasing products and services. However, they can be used to pay for tips if the "Can membership credits be used for tips?" setting is enabled.
- By default, membership credits do not apply to items with a $0 value. However, if the “Should generate bundle purchase usage for items with price $0” hidden setting is enabled, the item credit will be applied.
- When the “Apply Membership Value Credits” setting is configured to Before Tax, the value credit amount can be adjusted from the New Ticket screen but not from the Take Payment screen.
