Historical hours are utilized to calculate employee schedules and assess staff productivity. Scheduled and worked hours for staff members are permanently recorded to ensure accurate reporting of historical schedule utilization and productivity. This article explains how historical working hours are reflected in reports.
Things to Know:
- Historical staff working hours data will only be available for date ranges starting from November 7, 2022, as data before this date was not retained
-
When working hours are adjusted on a staff member's profile:
-
The hours will be updated if the working hours were created on the same day.
-
Existing working hours will expire, and a new record with the updated times will be created.
-
Each set of working hours includes a start and end date to maintain a record of historical data.
-
- The history of working hours will remain intact, even if the working hours are manually removed from the staff profile or the staff member is deleted.
- When both custom hours and historical working hours exist, custom hours will take precedence.
- The Staff Scheduling report displays the scheduled hours (expected start and end times) for each staff member on a daily basis. If a staff member is not scheduled to work on a particular day, that column will remain blank. Learn more here
- The Time Tracking report displays the clocked-in hours logged by staff members. Learn more here
- The Calendar Utilization report displays the percentage of available time slots that a staff member was booked or left unbooked. Learn more here
Scenarios
If Laura Green's working hours were initially set to 9:00 AM–5:00 PM daily and later updated to 8:00 AM–6:00 PM for the entire week, the Staff Scheduling report will reflect the updated hours (8:00 AM–6:00 PM).
