Adding Memberships for Pets on Scheduler App

You can add memberships for a client’s pets directly from the Memberships section on their profile. This article walks you through how to update the package owner. 


Things to Know:

  • The ability to add memberships for pets from the client profiles is controlled by the "Accessing Memberships" access control permission. 
  • On the membership configuration page:
  • If "Individual Pet" is selected, the membership can only be used by the specific pet(s) selected at the time of purchase.
  • If "All Pets" is selected, the membership can be used by all pets listed on the client's profile.
  • If the client profile contains only one pet, that pet will be automatically selected as the membership owner by default
  • Staff can either process the payment immediately or add a membership without completing payment. This behavior is controlled by the hidden setting “Prevent adding a membership to a client record without taking payment.” To enable this setting, please reach out to support@mytime.com.
  • When enabled, a payment is required to add the membership to the client profile.
  • When disabled, the membership can be added without payment.
  • On the client’s profile, the pet’s name will appear next to the membership status to identify them as the membership owner.
  • In related reports, the pet’s name will be displayed in the Pet column to indicate ownership when it is an individual pet membership



To add memberships for pets on client profiles

  1. Log into the app. For detailed instructions, learn more here
  2. After signing in, you will be directed to the Schedule by default
  3. Tap the Clients icon at the bottom of the screen
  4. Search for the client by typing their name in the Search field, or select the client from the client list
  5. On the client’s profile, scroll to the Memberships Purchased section
  6. Tap + Membership
  7. Tap the Location field to select the correct location, then choose the desired membership
  8. If the membership is configured for individual pets, the Member field will appear
  9. Tap the field to select a pet from the client’s profile as the membership owner
  10. To add the membership without processing payment immediately, tap Add at the top of the screen
  11. The membership will appear on the client’s profile with the selected pet listed as the owner
  12. To collect payment immediately, tap Take Payment
  13. You will be directed to the POS screen
  14. In the Commission field, select the staff member who sold the membership
  15. Tap Pay, then close the ticket once payment is received
