You can add memberships for a client’s pets directly from the Memberships section on their profile. This article walks you through how to update the package owner.
Things to Know:
- The ability to add memberships for pets from the client profiles is controlled by the "Accessing Memberships" access control permission.
- On the membership configuration page:
- If "Individual Pet" is selected, the membership can only be used by the specific pet(s) selected at the time of purchase.
- If "All Pets" is selected, the membership can be used by all pets listed on the client's profile.
- If the client profile contains only one pet, that pet will be automatically selected as the membership owner by default
- Staff members have the option to process the payment immediately or add the membership without completing payment
- On the client profile, the pet’s name will appear in parentheses next to the membership for easy identification
- In related reports, the pet’s name will be shown in the Pet column to indicate ownership.
To add a membership for a pet from a client profile:
1. Go to the Clients tab
2. Search and select the client's profile
3. Once the client's profile opens, navigate to the membership section
4. Select the + icon
5. From the 'Add Membership' modal, select the desired location from the 'Purchase Location' dropdown
6. Select the membership from the 'Membership' dropdown
7. Select the pet from the 'Membership Owner' dropdown
8. Save or proceed to take payment
