Purchasing Memberships for Pets Online

Once your widget is configured to include memberships, your clients will be able to visit your booking page either by using the booking URL or by clicking the book button on your website to purchase a membership for their pet(s). This article will outline the steps your clients need to take to purchase a membership for their pet(s) online.



Things to know: 


  • To configure your account for membership purchases, learn more here
  • For memberships configured for individual pets, clients will need to select which pet the membership is for when purchasing it through the booking widget.
  • When checking out on the booking widget, if the "Store Clients' Credit Cards?" setting is set to "Yes, but don't require them to schedule appointments," selecting the "how we use your payment information" hyperlink will display the following reason: "This makes it easier to manage your active membership by automatically processing recurring membership charges."
  • When clients purchase memberships online through the booking widget, express checkout page, or your custom guest app and enter their card details, the option to save their card on their profile in-store and in their online user account will automatically be checked and cannot be unchecked.


Depending on how you configured the widget, your memberships will be a stand-alone item or your clients will have to:

  1. Navigate to your booking widget
  2. Select the desired location (if the account has multiple locations)
  3. Select the Memberships tab
  4. Click on the "Buy" button next to desired membershipTeno-Pet-Child-1.png
  5. Sign in using the "Sign In" hyperlink or log in using a Facebook or Apple account, or create a new account.                                                                                                                                                                                                           
  6. A prompt will appear asking you to select who the membership is for
    • If the client has a pet on their account, the "Please Select A Pet" option will be displayed, along with a dropdown list from which the client can choose the pet
    • If the client does not have a pet listed on their account, they will be prompted to add one Teno-Pet-Child-1 (1).png
  7. Click the "Buy" button 
  8. The membership will be added to the client's cart and they will be redirected to the Checkout page. The membership information such as membership name, pet's name, billing frequency, start date, end date, and price will be displayed for review  Teno-Pet-Child-1 (2).png
  9. Next, enter their card details and select the “Complete Purchase” button
