In this article, we will look at the meaning of each setting under the Online Booking section on the Settings page.

Invite to book online upon client record creation | If enabled, when a new client record is created in-store, MyTime will automatically send the client an email with a link to create an account to book online. Learn more here. |
Appointment time picker intervals | Appointment time picker interval - The intervals are displayed in the time picker on the appointment modal. The interval can range anywhere between 5 minutes to 60 minutes increments. Appointment schedule intervals - The intervals are shown when viewing the schedule in day and week views. The interval can range anywhere between 5 minutes to 60 minutes increments. Online booking intervals - The intervals are displayed when a client goes to book an appointment online. The interval can range anywhere between 5 minutes to 60 minutes increments. Learn more here. |
Allow customizing online booking interval per staff member | This setting allows you to configure booking intervals for each staff member. For example, if Staff Member A should only accept appointments every 30 minutes and Staff Member B every 15 minutes, you can set their individual booking intervals accordingly to control how frequently clients can book with them. Enable Calendar View In Online Booking ![]() | This setting provides clients with the flexibility to choose available time slots for their appointments from either the calendar view or the list view when booking online. Learn more here |
Default to Calendar View on Online Booking![]() | This setting sets the booking widget to default to the calendar view. |
Show Appointment Details by Default on Mobile (Booking Widget Checkout page) | In the mobile view of the booking widget on the checkout page, the appointment details are collapsed/hidden by default. If this setting is enabled, the appointment details section will be expanded. |
How far in advance can clients book? | This setting controls the maximum amount of time in the future that clients can schedule appointments online. Example: If you set the maximum booking window to 90 days, clients will only be able to book appointments up to 90 days from today’s date. For instance, if today is September 18th, the latest appointment a client can book online would be December 17th. Learn more here. |
Set advanced settings by service category | This setting allows you to configure the maximum amount of time your individual services can be booked in advance online. Learn more here |
Who can book you online? | You can determine if new and existing clients can book you online or only existing clients. New and existing customers - Customers who had an appointment at your business in the past and clients who have never been to your business before can book appointments online. Learn more here. Existing customers only - Customers who had an appointment at your business in the past can book appointments online. |
Allow guest checkout? | When a client books as a guest, they won’t have to set up a password, zip code, first and last name resulting in a faster booking process. They will only use an email address when booking an appointment, booking a class session, or adding themselves to the waitlist. No guest checkout - If checked, when clients are booking online the option to book as a guest will not be present. Allow guest checkout - If checked, when clients are booking online, they have the option to book as a guest. Force guest checkout - If checked, when clients are booking online they will be forced to book as a guest. The option to book as an existing client or a new client will not be visible. How should online bookings be handled? | When configuring online booking, you can choose how appointments are processed once a client selects a time: Always accept online bookings (when staff are available) - The system automatically accepts the appointment if the staff member is available based on their scheduled or custom hours and there is no conflicting appointment or event on the calendar. The client immediately receives a confirmation that their appointment is booked. Keep online bookings in a pending state until manually approved - Online requests remain pending until you or your staff manually accept or confirm them. The client will not receive a booking confirmation until the appointment is approved. Learn more here. |
Advance notice required for new customers | This setting determines the minimum amount of time before an appointment that new clients can book online. You can choose anywhere from 0 minutes (allowing same-day, last-minute bookings) up to 1 week. Example: If you set the advance notice to 2 hours, a new client trying to book at 3:00 PM will only see available appointment times starting at 5:00 PM or later. |

Use 24 hour clock instead of AM/PM: | This setting allows you to have your booking widget and automated messages display time in the 24 hour format instead of AM/PM. Learn more here |
Show location phone number when no slots are available?
| When activated, your clients will see your business phone number when there are no booking slots available on your booking widget |
Enable Employee Filter For Online Booking ![]() | This setting allows you to have clients request a staff member of a specific gender when booking services online or in-store. Learn more here |
Employee Filter For Online Booking Label (e.g. Gender) | Configure the label that clients will see online, for example, "Staff Gender Preference". Learn more here. |
Employee Filter For Online Booking Options comma-separated (e.g. male, female) | This setting allows you to configure the gender filter options, such as Male, Female, and Others, that clients can choose from. Learn more here. |
