Prevent New Clients from Booking Online

You can restrict new clients from booking online, prompting them to contact your business directly instead. This article provides step-by-step guidance on enabling the setting that prevents new clients from scheduling appointments online.

  • The ability to configure this setting is controlled by the Accessing Account Settings access control.
  • Online booking must be enabled.
  • Clients must either sign in with Facebook or Apple or create a MyTime user account to book online.

Configuring the Setting to Restrict Online Booking for New Clients 


To prevent new clients from booking online:


1. Go to Business Setup > Settings

2. In the company section under Online Bookings, locate the "Who can book you online?" setting

3. Select "Existing customers only"

4. Click Save to apply the changes

When a new client visits your booking widget, they will see a message indicating that online booking is not available to them. The message provides clear instructions on how to proceed, typically prompting them to contact the business directly for assistance.
