Merchants that have the Waitlist feature enabled can see their schedule using the Split View option. The Split View displays the Waitlist on the left and a list of employees will appear along with their in-service appointments on the right.
Things to know:
- The ability to filter the schedule in Split View is controlled by the "Enable Split View" setting. In this view, the Waitlist is displayed on the left, while the list of employees and their in-service appointments appears on the right.
- Here are a few things to keep in mind when using Split View:
- Appointments on the Waitlist can be managed by either dragging them from the left menu to the right or by clicking the Start button. This feature is particularly helpful for businesses that primarily operate without scheduled appointments.
- In Split View, the In-Service list shows the next upcoming appointment, which appears with a dotted line border and a gray background.
- If you need to un-start an appointment, simply drag it from the In Service column back to the Waitlist column. This is useful if you accidentally start an appointment that was on the waitlist.
Split View can be accessed by:
- Navigating to the Schedule
- Filter by split-view via the drop-down menu located at the top left of the Scheduler
Upcoming Appointments in Split View
The In-Service list of the split view shows the next upcoming appointment. It appears with a dotted line border and a gray background.
Appointments that are currently on the Waitlist can be started automatically by dragging them from the left menu to the right menu or by using the Start button.
Clicking "Check-In" updates the appointment status to checked-in, displays the appointment as in-service, and fetches the next upcoming appointment.
Additionally, to edit an appointment on these screens, you can click anywhere in the row. This helps save space on small screens.
Un-starting an Appointment in Split View
To un-start an appointment in Split View, you can either drag the appointment to the Waitlist or update its status directly from the appointment modal.
To drag the appointment to the Waitlist:
- Locate the desired appointment in the In Service column of the schedule
- Click the three lines on the appointment tile
- Drag the appointment to the Waitlist column
- The appointment status will immediately update, indicating that it has not started yet
Returning an Appointment to the Waitlist from the Appointment Modal
- Locate and select the desired appointment
- Once the appointment modal opens, click the dropdown menu at the top left
- Select the "Return to Waitlist" status
- Click Save to update the appointment status
