Force activation allows you to manually apply referral credits to a client’s account without requiring the standard triggers (such as a completed purchase). This is useful when the referral process didn’t automatically apply the credit due to missing conditions, but you still want to honor the referral reward.
Things to know:
- The ability to force activate referral credits is controlled by the "Accessing Referral Credits" access control permission.
- Clients will not receive an automated email when referral credits are force-activated.
- Force-activated credits cannot be undone once confirmed.
To force activate referral credits:
- Navigate to the Clients tab
- Search for and open the client’s profile
- Scroll down to the Referral Credit section
- Click the View Referral Credit button
- Click the edit icon next to the pending credit
- Click the Activate link
- Confirm by clicking Yes in the confirmation prompt
- Once activated, the referrer and referee will both receive their referral credits, which can now be used toward purchases.
