This article explains how to deposit or withdraw cash from the register at any time during the day.
Things to Know:
- The ability to deposit or withdraw cash from the register is controlled by the "Accessing Register" permission setting.
- Withdrawals are recorded as negative adjustments (displayed in red), while deposits are positive adjustments added to the register.
- The register records all deposit and withdrawal transactions, including the staff member who processed them, along with the date and time of the transaction.
- Deposited cash is updated instantly and appears in the Current Cash section of the register.
- When withdrawing tips, you can select a specific ticket to withdraw from. By default, all tickets associated with the staff member will be selected, but you can deselect any tickets for clients whose tips you do not want to withdraw.
- If you attempt to withdraw tips and no tips have been collected for the day, the staff drop-down menu will show "No Employees." Once tips are collected, employee names will appear as selectable options.
- You can view the audit trail for attachments by clicking the attachment icon next to any withdrawal or deposit. From the audit trail, you also have the option to add additional attachments if needed.
- You can attach multiple files and images to a register by clicking the "Attachments" link next to the Add/Withdraw button. You can upload up to 10 files at a time. Image files can be up to 10MB each, while other file types (such as .txt, .pdf, and .csv) can be up to 5MB each. All uploaded attachments will be stored and remain accessible within the register.
