Attaching Images/Files To The Register

In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps to add attachments to your register.


Things to know:

  • Files can be attached to registers for the current date or any past date, but only if the register is currently open or was previously opened and then closed. 
  • Files cannot be attached to registers that were never opened
  • You can upload up to 10 files at a time
  • Image files can be up to 10MB each, while other file types (such as .txt, .pdf, and .csv) can be up to 5MB each
  • All uploaded attachments will be stored and remain accessible within the register

Adding Files and Images to an Open Register

 

  1. Go to POS > Registers
  2. Click the Enter Register button next to the register you want to access 
  3. Select the 'Attachments' link located next to the Print Report option 
  4. In the Attached Files Audit Trail will open, click "Attach Files" 
  5. Choose the file/image from your device to upload
  6. Click Save to confirm


Adding Files and Images to a Closed Register

  1. Go to POS > Register 
  2. Use the location and date filters to locate the desired register
  3. Click 'View Report' next to the register with a Closed status
  4. Click the 'Attachments' link located next to the print report option
  5. In the Attached Files Audit Trail will open; click "Attach Files" 
  6. Upload the file/image from your device
  7. Click Save to confirm


Accessing Attached Files

  1. Click the Attachments link next to the Print Report option in the register 
  2. The Uploaded Files modal will appear 
  3. In this modal, you can: 
    • View details of previously uploaded files, including: 
      • Who uploaded the file 
      • When it was uploaded 
      • The document name 
      • Upload new files, if needed 
      • Click the document name to open or download the file
