Appointment Booking Notifications

Modified on Thu, 11 Sep at 1:50 PM

Staff members can receive notifications for their own appointments, which can be turned on or off based on personal preferences. This article explains how to configure and disable appointment booking notifications.

Things to Know:

  • Appointment notifications can be received via text, email, or both
  • Appointment booking notifications are sent via SMS or email when the “Text Me” or “Email Me” checkboxes are enabled on a staff profile. These notifications are not counted toward your email or SMS usage. Example: If Anna has “Text Me” enabled on her staff profile, she will receive a text notification whenever a client books an appointment with her. Similarly, if “Email Me” is enabled, she will get an email notification. These messages are sent automatically and do not affect your SMS or email quota.
  • The ability for staff members to receive booking notifications can be disabled. This is controlled by a hidden setting that only the MyTime team can enable. To request this, contact support@mytime.comOnce disabled, they will not receive any notifications via email or text when appointments are scheduled for them.
  • Once staff members opt in, they will receive alerts when an appointment is scheduled, rescheduled, or canceled.
  • Staff will not receive notifications for other changes, such as price updates, added services, or status changes (e.g., checked in or confirmed).
