Clients can book group appointments online by selecting the desired quantity of resources or participants. If minimum and maximum quantities are set for a service, the service will only appear when the selected quantity falls within that range.
Things to know.
- When booking a group appointment, clients must select the quantity they are booking for. To enable this, a quantity custom field needs to be created and made visible online. Please contact MyTime support for assistance with creating this custom field.
- After the quantity custom field is set up, selecting a quantity on the booking widget becomes mandatory for all bookings.
- The quantity drop-down menu reflects the maximum amount configured in the quantity custom field.
- MyTime support can enable hidden settings that allow you to customize your booking process further, including:
- Controlling service visibility based on minimum and maximum quantity settings. Based on these settings, services will appear or be hidden depending on the client’s selected quantity (e.g., a facial service with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 will only be available when the selected quantity is between 2 and 6). Note: activating this overrides the multi-client feature.
- Allowing bookings without requiring additional clients’ phone numbers or emails during checkout.
- Permitting partial entry of additional clients’ information at booking time, with the option to add remaining details later.
- Configuring your account so that notifications are not sent to additional clients by default.
To book group appointments online, your client should:
- Navigate to your booking page using the provided booking URL or the "Book" button on your website
- Select a Location (if your business has multiple locations)
- The quantity custom field will appear at the top of the Book Appointment page
- Select the desired quantity from the drop-down menu. If a minimum or maximum quantity is configured for the service, only quantities within that range will allow the service to appear.
- Click Book next to the desired service, then select a time on the Pick a Time page
- On the checkout page, the selected quantity will be displayed alongside the appointment details. Clients also complete any required intake forms, provide payment information (if applicable), and enter additional client details.
- Complete the booking
