Service Pricing & Duration by Pet Breed

For pet businesses, MyTime allows you to define custom prices and service durations for specific pet breeds or groups of breeds.


Things to know:

  • The ability to set or edit service prices and durations by breed is controlled by the following access control settings:
    • Accessing Services Menu
    • Assigning Service Prices
    • Assigning Service Durations
  • For franchise businesses, the settings "Do prices vary by staff member?" and "Do service durations vary by staff member?" are managed at the parent level and cannot be adjusted at the child level.
  • If a child account owner has View access to the Services Menu but Edit access for pricing and durations, they can update both global service prices and breed-specific prices/durations.
  • When the settings "Prices are the same for all locations and staff members" and "Service durations are the same for all locations and staff members" are enabled, any new location added to a child account will automatically inherit the same breed-based pricing and durations across all services.
  • In-store Booking: When staff select a service and pet breed with custom pricing/duration, the system will automatically populate the correct values in the appointment window.
  • Online Booking: Clients are required to select their pet’s breed during the booking process. If custom pricing/duration is set for that breed, it will automatically apply to the appointment.
  • Custom prices and durations only apply to future bookings. Existing appointments will not be updated retroactively.


To create custom breed pricing and duration:

  1. Go to Business Setup > Services Menu
  2. Click Edit next to the service you want to customize
  3. At the bottom of the modal, click Add New under Price and Duration by Pet Breed
  4. In the pop-up window:
    • Use the search box to find a breed
    • Type a name to filter the list.
    • If the breed is not listed, type the name and press Enter to create a custom breed (e.g., cat breeds must be added manually)
    • Select one or more breeds, enter the price and duration, then click Save
  5. Once a custom price/duration is set for a breed, it will no longer appear in the dropdown for that service.
  6. Review your updates in the main window and click Save again to finalize
