You can split tips manually between staff members who were involved in a service. This can be done on the new ticket or closed ticket screen. In this article, we will walk through how to split tips on the new ticket and closed ticket pages.
Things to know:
- The ability to manually split tips is controlled by the "Creating Tickets" access setting.
- The Split Tip modal displays all staff members, including account owners.
- Staff members are listed alphabetically for easy selection.
- When manually splitting a tip, the total allocation must add up to 100%. If the total does not equal 100%, a warning will appear: "Tip allocation must equal 100%."
- Tips are split automatically in the following situations:
- A tip is manually entered in the POS for a multi-staff appointment (i.e., one appointment with multiple services performed by different staff members).
- A tip is left via a credit card terminal for a multi-staff appointment or multiple appointments included on a single POS ticket. Learn more here
