Custom Appointment Icons

MyTime offers the flexibility to create custom appointment icons, allowing businesses to personalize and enhance their scheduling experience by assigning unique icons to specific appointments. This article will guide you through the steps to configure and use icons, adding a personalized touch to your appointments.


Things to Know:

  • Custom appointment icons can be created at the global (parent) level or the child (company) level from the Clients Tab > Manage Clients Menu > Customize Client Fields.
  • Users can either choose from predefined icons provided by MyTime or create their own using SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) format
  • When you select "Book Again" or "Redo" for an appointment, any icons from the previous appointment will automatically transfer to the new one. Additionally, if icons were assigned to a client during their last appointment, they will prefill when booking a new appointment for that client, even if the service is different.

Custom Icon Setting Configuration


To configure custom icon setting:

 

1. Navigate to Business Setup > Settings

2. Under the Calendar setting section, locate the 'Enable Icon Custom Field' setting

3. Toggle to On

4. Save changes


Add Custom Appointment Icons


Once the setting is enabled: 


1. Navigate to the Clients tab

2. Select Manage Clients

3. Select Customize Client Fields

4. Select "Add Field" in the "Custom Appointment Fields" section to expand the list of available fields

5. Click on the dropdown in the "Field Type" section and select "Icons" from the list

6. Enter the desired field name

7. In the "Icons Options" section, click the dropdown arrow to view predefined icons. Alternatively, you can add your own icons by selecting "+Add"

8. If +Add is selected, it will prompt you to go to your download folder to choose your downloaded SVG icons from your device

9. Once the icons are selected, add tooltips to the icons (tooltips are required for clarity)

10. Save


Add Icons When Scheduling Appointments


To add icons when scheduling appointments:


1. Navigate to the Schedule

2. Filter by the desired location

3. Click on the "New Appointment" button below the calendar on the left-hand side of the Schedule or on a specific time slot directly in the schedule

4. Enter the appointment details

5. Scroll to the bottom of the appointment modal and select the icons you want to associate with the appointment 

6. Click "Save"

7. After saving, the appointment will appear on the schedule. When you hover over the appointment tile, the selected icons will be displayed in the appointment section and also on the appointment modal.


Add Icons to Existing Appointments


To add icons to existing appointments:


1. Navigate to the Schedule

2. Filter by the desired location

3. Select the appointment from the schedule

2. Scroll to the bottom of the appointment modal and select the icons you want to associate with the appointment

3. Click "Save"

4. After saving, when you hover over the appointment tile, the selected icon will be visible in the appointment section of the tile and also on the appointment modal.
