When a service, class, or product is prepaid using a gift card or membership value credits, the retail price of the item is displayed in the Class, Service, and Product columns.
Things to know:
In compensation reports, items covered by membership value credits or gift cards are displayed at their retail price. However, if facility fees or pre-commission back bar fees are applied, these fees will be deducted from the retail price, with only the remaining revenue shown in the report.
Prepaid Revenue For Memberships Value Credit
Membership Configuration
Membership Price - $200
Value Credits - $150
Service Price - $70
Facility Fee - $10
A client bought this membership and used $70 of the value credit to cover a $70 service.
Outcome:
- The ticket will display $70 for the service
- The revenue reports, when filtered to 'Time of Purchase,' will display $70 in the Service, Gross Revenue, and Prepaid columns, but there will be no entry in the Net Revenue column
- The revenue reports, when filtered to 'Time of Use,' will display $70 in the Service, Gross Revenue, and Net Revenue columns
- The revenue reports, when filtered to 'Time of Use Legacy,' will display $70 in the Service, Gross Revenue, and Net Revenue columns
- The compensation reports will display $60 in the Service Revenue as a prepaid service (Service Price of $70 minus the $10 Facility Fee)
Prepaid Revenue For Gift Cards
A client uses a gift card to pay for a $32 service.
Outcome:
- The ticket will display $32 for the service
- The revenue reports, when filtered to 'Time of Purchase,' will display $32 in the Service, Gross Revenue, and Prepaid columns, but there will be no entry in the Net Revenue column.
- The revenue reports, when filtered to 'Time of Use,' will display $32 in the Service, Gross Revenue, and Net Revenue columns
- The revenue reports, when filtered to 'Time of Use Legacy,' will display $32 in the Service, Gross Revenue, and Net Revenue columns
- The compensation reports will display $32 in the Service Revenue as a prepaid service
