Modified on Fri, 18 Apr at 12:46 PM

The Daily Payments Report, Daily Revenue Report, and Daily Compensation serve distinct purposes in financial tracking. In this article, we will detail the main distinctions between the three reports.

Daily Revenue Report
Daily Payments Report
Daily Compensation

Displays revenue for all item types, including services, products, memberships, etc.

Sales tax, tips, and voided tickets are excluded.

Breaks down payments received from all payment methods, including prepaid deposits collected, tips, taxes, and total cash deposited to the bank.
The value displayed in the "Total Deposit to Bank" column is taken from the "Cash to Bank" section of the register closeout report. It does not represent the actual credit / debit card deposits to your bank account.

Displays revenue for all items according to the company's pre- or post-discount setting, minus any backbar or facility fees. Staff compensation is also shown based on the selected date range.
Facility fees and back bar fees are not includedFacility fees and back bar fees are not included
Facility fees and back bar fees are deducted from the service revenue and are displayed in the report

Revenue is displayed based on the date the ticket was closed or the appointment date (if a ticket was not generated)

Transactions are displayed on the date the payment was processed, regardless of whether a register was open at the time or whether the ticket was open or closed.

The report includes data for all scheduled appointments, excluding those marked as canceled or no-show. If you prefer to display data only for completed appointments, this can be enabled through a hidden setting. Please contact our support team at support@mytime.com to activate it.

Products, Gift Cards, Memberships, and Packages: Data for these items is displayed based on the ticket close date.

You can view data exclusively for closed tickets by checking the box next to the "Closed Tickets Only" option. If left unchecked, the report will display revenue for all tickets, including both open and closed.

There is no option to view only closed or open tickets. By default, payments from both open and closed tickets are displayed.

You can view data exclusively for closed tickets by checking the box next to the "Closed Tickets Only" option. If left unchecked, the report will display revenue and compensation for all tickets, including both open and closed.

Similarly, you can choose whether to include tips in the data by checking or unchecking the "Include Tips" option.

Revenue from membership/package/gift card redemptions is displayed in the report when filtered by "Revenue at Time of Purchase."

Revenue from membership/package redemptions is not displayed in this report; only gift card redemptions are shown in the gift card column.

Revenue from membership redemptions is displayed based on the service's retail price or membership commission price.

Revenue from package redemptions is displayed based on the service's retail price or package price.

Revenue from gift card redemptions is displayed based on the service's retail price.

Revenue from deposits is displayed on the date the ticket is closed, not the date the deposit was processed. For example, if an appointment is scheduled for March 9th with a value of $200 and a deposit of $50 was taken on March 4th, no revenue will be shown when filtering by March 4. However, when filtering by March 9 (the date the appointment took place and the ticket was closed), the total revenue of $200 for the service, including the deposit, will be displayed.

Revenue from deposits is displayed on the date the deposit was processed. For example, if an appointment is scheduled for March 9th with a value of $200 and a deposit of $50 was taken on March 4th, revenue of $50 will appear when filtering by March 4. However, when filtering by March 9 (the date the appointment took place and the ticket was closed), the remaining revenue of $150 for the service, excluding the deposit, will be displayed.

Revenue from deposits is not displayed in the daily compensation report.

Refunds will be reflected on the date the refund was processed, rather than the original ticket date. For example, if an item was purchased on November 13th for $100 but refunded on November 23rd, the report will display the original revenue on November 13th and the refund on November 23rd.

Refunds will be reflected on the date the refund was processed, rather than the original ticket date. For example, if an item was purchased on November 13th for $100 but refunded on November 23rd, the report will display the original payment on November 13th and the refund on November 23rd.

Refunds are not reflected in the daily compensation report.

Refunds are reflected based on the original ticket closure date.

For example, if a ticket was closed on November 13th and later refunded on November 23rd, the Compensation Report will show the adjusted revenue and commission under the original closure date of November 13th.

For partial refunds, the report will display the reduced revenue and adjusted commission.

For full refunds, there will be no entry on the report for that ticket.

Any additional payments made on tickets closed in the past will be reflected on the date the payment was processed.

Example: If a ticket was closed in October for $20 and later edited in November with an additional payment of $10:

  • The revenue for October will remain at $20
  • The revenue for November will reflect the additional $10 payment

Any additional payments made on tickets closed in the past will be reflected on the date the payment was processed.

Example: If a ticket was closed in October for $20 and later edited in November with an additional payment of $10:

  • The payment for October will remain at $20
  • The payment for November will reflect the additional $10 payment

Any additional payments made on tickets closed in the past will be reflected on the original closed ticket date.

Example: If a ticket was closed in October for $20 and later edited in November with an additional payment of $10:

  • The revenue for October will update to $30
  • There will be no entry for November

The "Date" column represents the date of the appointment (if a ticket is not present) or the ticket's close date.

The "Date" column (representing when the payment was processed) will correspond with the "Transaction Date" column in the Payment Dashboard report.

There is no date column; however, the report can be viewed on a daily, weekly, or monthly range per staff member using the daily/weekly/monthly filter at the top right-hand corner of the report.

This report should not be used for reconciling with the deposits seen in your bank account.

This report can be used to reconcile the credit/debit card deposits seen in the Payment Dashboard.

This report is intended to track the commissions earned by staff members.
