This article will guide you through the steps on how to enable and disable stock alerts for inventory.
Things to know:
- Inventory stock alerts can be sent via email to location managers or shown in the notification center (bell icon at the top of your MyTime account page).
- Low Stock - indicates that the retail / back bar quantity for an item is currently at a low level. The system monitors this quantity based on your predefined minimum (MIN) threshold.
- Out of stock - indicates that the retail / back bar quantity for a specific product has reached zero.

Expired stock - indicates that a specific product has expired
- We check for expired stock every hour and focus solely on items that have expired within the last 96 hours. Notifications are sent only once per stock item.
- All expired stock items are consolidated into a single email for each location manager. The email includes links for each expired stock, which open the inventory page with the stock's SKU displayed in a modal.
- One alert is sent for each expired stock item. Clicking on a bell alert will take you to the inventory page with the stock's SKU displayed in a modal.
Enabling or Disabling Stock Alerts
- Navigate to POS > Inventory tab
- In the upper right-hand corner of your inventory page, click the settings icon

You will be directed to the "Alerts" page, where you can choose to enable or disable notifications for Low Stock, Out of Stock, and Expired Stock.
- To activate Low Stock, Out of Stock, and Expired Stock alerts in your Notification Center, make sure the MyTime Dashboard boxes are checked. Selecting the email checkbox will send alerts to location managers.
- To deactivate inventory stock alerts, uncheck both the MyTime Dashboard and email checkboxes.
- Once you’ve set your alert preferences, be sure to save them

When you click on the Expired Stock hyperlink in the notification bell, you'll be redirected to the SKU modal, where you can proceed to add a shipment.

When you click on the SKU Name hyperlink in the email, you'll be redirected to the SKU modal, where you can proceed to add a shipment.
