You can easily update pricing, modify the included services, or adjust the duration of a package by editing it directly from the package interface. Additionally, you have the flexibility to modify the number of credits included in the package as well as its expiration period. In this article, we will walk through the steps to edit packages from the package interface.
Things to know:
- The ability to edit packages is controlled by the 'Access Packages' access control setting
- By default, changes made to a template are not retroactive. Updates typically only apply to packages purchased after the changes are saved. If you need to update packages that clients have already purchased, the "Enable Package Bulk Updater" hidden setting must be toggled on. Please contact support@mytime.com to enable this for your account.
- When you choose to update existing client packages, the system manages the transition based on the specific type of change made to your template:
- Group Replacement: If existing credit groups are removed and new ones are added, the system zeros out the old groups on previously purchased packages and creates the new configuration from scratch. Example: You replace a "Yoga Class" credit group with a "Meditation Session" group. A client’s remaining Yoga credits are removed and replaced with the full amount of Meditation credits.
- In-Place Updates: If you modify the details of an existing credit group (such as changing the eligible services), the system updates that group directly. Example: You update a "Massage" credit group to include a new "Aromatherapy" service. Clients who already own the package can now use their remaining credits for the new service.
- Quantity Adjustments: If credit quantities are changed, the system creates manual adjustments to ensure the client’s balance remains accurate relative to the new template. Example: You change a "10-Session" package to an "8-Session" package. For a client with 5 credits remaining, the system applies a -2 adjustment so their new balance is 3, matching the new 8-session standard.
- Global Packages: Managed at the parent level. Updates to items, credits, or validity will sync across all locations and child accounts.
- Local Packages: Managed at the child account level. Changes made at one location will affect all other locations within that specific child account.
- Editing the credit quantity in a package template will not automatically alter existing balances shown in the Package Balance report.
- By default, package credits do not apply to items with a $0 value. However, if the “Should generate bundle purchase usage for items with price $0” hidden setting is enabled, the item credit will be applied.
- Prices can be set per individual location or by location group. If no price is defined for a selection, the system will display SET PRICE. Note that if individual locations within a group have unique prices, a separate price must still be configured at the location group level for it to appear when that group is selected.

- Can Only Be Purchased Once Per Client: If enabled, each client can buy the package only once.
- The package won’t appear in the list when the client signs in to the booking widget if already purchased.
