You can easily update pricing, modify the included services, or adjust the duration of a package by editing it directly from the package interface. Additionally, you have the flexibility to modify the number of credits included in the package as well as its expiration period. In this article, we will walk through the steps to edit packages from the package interface.
Things to know:
- The ability to edit packages is controlled by the 'Access Packages' access control setting.
- Changes made to a package in the package interface will not apply to clients who have already purchased it. To edit a package from the client profile, learn more here.
- Editing the item credit quantity of a package does not affect existing package balances in the Package Balance report.
- Global Packages: Changes made at the parent level to package items, the number of credits, or validity are not location-specific. Any updates made at the parent level will affect all locations across all child accounts.
- Local Packages: Changes made at one location on a child account will affect all locations associated with that child account.
To edit a package from the package interface:
- Navigate to Business Setup > Packages
- Select the desired location from the location dropdown
- Locate and select the edit icon next to the package you wish to edit
- Here you can edit the following on the 'General Setting' page:
Package name
The description
The validity period: You can switch between making the package indefinite or you can set it to expire in X days, months, or years.
Select whether the package can be used by an individual family member/pet or by all family members/pets. Please note this option is only visible on family member/pet accounts
Change whether it can be purchased through the booking or package purchase widget, or from the MyTime white-labeled Guest App for iOS and Android or not
State whether clients can purchase the package only once or more
Determine if the staff commission for items in a package should be calculated on the retail price or the package price
- On the 'Package Item' page, you can click the edit icon next to the package item you wish to edit if there is more than one
- Here you can edit the items included in the package, the quantity of these items, the price, and the locations where the package should be available

- Click 'Done' and then save the package
