Exporting child records simplifies tasks like record-keeping and data analysis. This article outlines the process for exporting information from our platform.
Things to Know:
- The "Allow Access to Client Configuration & Import/Export Tool" setting determines whether a user can export child records.
- Export Children – Exports all child records, including pets, family members, and vehicles (if applicable).
- Export Filtered Children – Exports child records based on the locations selected in the location filter. This option is unavailable for accounts without a configured child type.
To export children:
1. Navigate to the Clients tab
2. Select the Manage Clients drop-down menu > Click the "Export Children / Export Filtered Children" option
3. A CSV file will be downloaded and saved to your device
This export will include the following data:
Column | Description |
child_id | This is the unique external ID that was included in the import spreadsheet during the import process. If the child was added manually, this field will remain blank. |
client_id | This is the unique external ID that was included in the import spreadsheet during the import process. If the client was added manually, this field will remain blank. |
deleted | This column determines if the child should be deleted or not. "FALSE" to not delete the child or "TRUE" to delete the child |
mytime_child_id | This is the unique internal MyTime ID assigned to pets or family members. MyTime generates this ID for existing children, and it is visible in the URL when viewing a child's profile. |
mytime_client_id | This is the unique internal MyTime ID assigned to clients. This ID is visible in the URL when viewing a client's profile. |
date_of_birth | The child’s birthdate |
first_name | The child’s first name |
gender | The child’s gender |
last_name | The child’s last name |
notes | Child notes found on the pet or family's profile |
