MyTime allows you to easily and quickly add multiple child profiles at once. This article provides a step-by-step guide to help you import child profiles seamlessly into MyTime.
Things to Know:
- Do not delete or reorder any columns in the spreadsheet, except for the custom field columns.
- For a successful import, ensure the file is in CSV format. Importing any CSV file other than the MyTime children import template may
Import Children List
To import children:
1. Navigate to the Clients tab
2. Select the ‘Manage Clients’ drop-down menu > Import Children
3. The screen below will appear. Download the MyTime Children Import Template
4. Find the downloaded Excel spreadsheet on your computer and open it using Microsoft Excel or any compatible spreadsheet software
5. Enter your child information into the designated columns. Verify the accuracy and completeness of the data to ensure a seamless import process
6. After completing the entry of your children information in the MyTime Children spreadsheet, save the Excel file as a CSV
7. Return to the Import section and then click the "Upload" button
8. Select the CSV file from the download list. Once your file has been uploaded, click the "Import" button
Congratulations! You've successfully imported children into MyTime using a CSV file.
Column Description
Column | Description |
child_id | This is the ID of the pet/ family member you have in your local database (needed for appointments, for future updates, etc). If you don't have a child_id you need to generate one. |
client_id | This is the ID of the client you have in your local database (needed to import the pets, appointments, future updates, etc) if you don't have a client_id you need to generate one. You can use an easy number sequence to remember |
mytime_child_id | The internal MyTime ID of the child. This field is provided by MyTime for existing children. |
mytime_client_id | The internal MyTime ID of the client. This field is provided by MyTime for existing clients. |
deleted | This column determines if the child should be deleted or not. Enter "FALSE" to not delete the child or "TRUE" to delete the child |
custom_field X | This is the UUID of the field from the custom_fields.csv file. You can add different custom fields of your choice. Example: gender, age, pet_name, first_name, vet_name etc. |
