Checking Out Appointments in POS

Appointments can be seamlessly checked out directly from the (POS), enabling a streamlined workflow. During this process, services rendered during the appointment can be reviewed and payments can be processed. This article will walk through the process of checking out appointments in the POS.


Things to Know:

  • The ability to create tickets is governed by the "Creating Tickets" access control.
  • Appointments without an associated ticket will show the "Create Ticket" button in the appointment modal, while appointments with an open ticket will display the "Open Ticket" button.
  • If a service is covered by a membership or package, the ticket will display an 'In Membership' or 'In Package' label next to the corresponding service.
  • You can hide the "Key In Card" option on the "Take Payment" screen in POS. This feature is controlled by a hidden setting that can only be configured by the MyTime team. To enable it, please contact support@mytime.com.

Checking Out Appointments Directly From POS


To checkout appointments directly from POS:

1. Navigate to POS > New Ticket

2. Add the client

3. Select the desired location

4. Click the "Services" tab to the right of the ticket

5. Click the "+Add Service" link

6. In the "Add Service to Ticket" modal, enter the appointment details 

7. Save the details

8. Once saved, the appointment will be added to the ticket

9. Select the "Take Payment" button 

10.  Enter the payment method provided by the client and click the 'Close Ticket' button at the bottom of the screen 

Once the ticket has been closed, a confirmation will appear at the top of the screen


Checkout Appointment Directly From The Schedule in POS


To check out an appointment directly from the schedule in POS:

1. From the Schedule, find and select the appointment you want to check out

2. Click 'Create Ticket' at the bottom of the appointment modal

3. On the New Ticket screen, select the 'Take Payment' button at the bottom

4. Enter the payment method provided by the client and click the 'Close Ticket' button at the bottom 

Once the ticket has been closed, a confirmation will a at the top of the screen
