Barcodes On Point of Sale (POS) Receipts

Modified on Wed, 28 May at 9:13 AM

MyTime gives you the option to include barcodes on POS receipts. These barcodes make it easier to locate the corresponding ticket or transaction in the system, helping staff quickly process returns, exchanges, or reprint receipts.

Things to know:

  • POS receipts can be printed, emailed automatically, or sent manually from the POS ticket.

  • By default, all printed and emailed receipts will include the receipt number and barcode at the bottom. If your business prefers not to display the barcode on POS receipts, this can be done by enabling the "Disable ticket barcode on ticket receipts" hidden setting. To enable the hidden setting, please contact your account manager or our support team at support@mytime.com

  • Scanning the barcode in POS will automatically pull up the corresponding ticket. This works in both:

    • POS > Open Tickets

    • POS > Closed Tickets

  • The barcode can be scanned in POS by going to POS > Open Tickets and POS > Closed Tickets, and it will open up the corresponding ticket.
  • For more information on what is included in POS receipts, check out this article

All POS receipts, whether printed or emailed, will display the receipt number and barcode at the bottom of the ticket.
