Barcodes On Point of Sale (POS) Receipts

Modified on Mon, 6 Oct at 3:22 PM

MyTime gives you the option to include barcodes on POS receipts. These barcodes make it easy to locate the corresponding ticket or transaction in the system, allowing staff to quickly process returns, exchanges, or reprint receipts.

Things to know:

  • POS receipts can be:

    • Printed

    • Emailed automatically

    • Sent manually from the POS ticket

  • By default, all printed and emailed receipts will include the receipt number and a barcode at the bottom.

  • If your business prefers not to display barcodes on receipts, you can enable the hidden setting “Disable ticket barcode on ticket receipts.” To enable this setting, please contact your account manager or email support@mytime.com

  • Scanning the barcode in POS will automatically open the corresponding ticket. This works in both:

    • POS > Open Tickets

    • ]POS > Closed Tickets

    • Simply scan the barcode in either section, and the related ticket will appear.

  • For more details on what’s included in POS receipts, check out this article

All POS receipts, whether printed or emailed, will display the receipt number and barcode at the bottom of the ticket.
