Editing Packages on Client Profiles

You can easily update the remaining credits or the validity period of a package directly from a client's profile. These adjustments can be applied to client, pet, or family member packages. This guide outlines the steps required to make these changes effectively.


Things to know:

  • You can only edit the remaining credits and validity period of a package. The price and included item(s) cannot be modified from the client profile.
  • Package validity is based on the local time zone of the purchase location. Packages remain active from the purchase time until 11:59 PM local time on the expiration date.
  • Updating Package Validity Dates
  • If you update a package's validity to a past date, existing past appointments (that are not already linked to a closed ticket) will not be covered automatically.
  • Manual Trigger Required: The system does not automatically scan your historical schedule to apply the package upon saving.
  • When it Applies: The package will only be applied to those past appointments if they are later updated, edited, or manually completed by a staff member.
  • Credit Balance Adjustments
  • Adjusting a package’s credit balance does not immediately trigger the system to cover existing appointments.
  • Reporting vs. Action: Saving a credit adjustment updates your reporting data and balances, but it does not proactively search for and "claim" existing bookings.
  • When it Applies: The new credits will only be linked to matching appointments (those not tied to a closed ticket) when those specific appointments are next modified or processed in the system.
  • Once a package item credit has been used or manually removed, the option to delete the package will no longer be available on the client's profile. 



To edit a client's package: 

  1. Navigate to the Clients tab
  2. Select the desired client
  3. Scroll down to the Packages section
  4. Click the Edit Package                                                                                                                                   
  5. In the "Edit Package" modal, you can update: 
    • The purchase location
    • The expiration period (by unchecking the 'Never Expire' for indefinite packages)
    • The credit quantity                                                                                                                  
  6. Click Save


Once saved, your changes will apply moving forward. Any adjustments to credit quantity will be recorded in the Package History section.
