Payment Methods on Payment Screen in POS

Your account is pre-configured with common payment methods such as cash, check, and other payment. If you'd like greater control over the payment methods available at the Point of Sale (POS), you can customize these preferences in your settings. This guide will walk you through adding, hiding, and viewing payment methods in the POS.


Things to know:

  • Certain options appear automatically based on your account configuration:
    • Credit Card appears if you have a payment account set up.
    • Gift Card appears if gift card purchases are enabled.
    • Referral Credit appears if a referral program is configured.
    • Loyalty appears if a loyalty program is enabled.
  • If you attempt to deactivate all payment methods, a warning will appear to alert you.
  • The payment methods listed in settings will also appear in the Daily Payments report.

Add Additional Payment Methods in POS


To display additional payment methods in the POS:

  1. Navigate to Business Setup > Settings
  2. In the POS section, locate the "Choose Payment Methods" option to view your current list
  3. Enable the "Use Dropdown" option                                                                                                       other.png
  4. Enter your desired additional payment methods, separated by commas (e.g., Venmo, Apple Pay) other.png
  5. Save your changes


Hide Payment Methods in POS


To hide certain payment methods in POS:

  1. Go to the Business Setup > Settings
  2. In the POS section, locate the "Choose Payment Methods" option to view your current list
  3. Uncheck the box next to the payment method you wish to remove                                                                                           other 3.png
  4. Save your changes


View Payment Methods in POS


To verify which payment methods are available in the POS:

  1. Go to POS > New Ticket
  2. Add an item to the ticket and click the “Take Payment” button
  3. The available payment methods based on your selection from Business Setup > Settings will appear on the payment screen. Any payment methods you removed will no longer appear                                                         payment.png
  4. Select a payment method, close the ticket, and complete the transaction.
