Self-Check-In for Appointment on Guest App

Clients can self-check-in for appointments through the Guest app. In this article, we'll outline the steps that your clients should follow to check in when using the Guest App.


Things to know:

  • Check-In Behavior:
    • Auto Check-In (no button shown):

      The client has location services enabled

      Is within 20 meters of the store

      The appointment is less than 30 minutes away

       In this case, the client is automatically checked in without seeing a Check-In button.

    • Check-In button not shown (manual check-in impossible):

      The client has location services enabled,

      The appointment is within 30 minutes, but the client is NOT within 20 meters of the store.

      No Check-In button appears, and auto-check-in does not occur.

    • Check-In button shown (manual check-in required):

      The client does NOT have location services enabled,

      Appointment is within 30 minutes, regardless of distance.

      Clicking the button prompts the client to enable location services.

      • Enable: Opens device settings to turn on location services → button disappears → auto-check-in happens.

      • Cancel: Returns to home page → cannot manually check in.

  • The staff member assigned to the appointment will receive a push notification in the Scheduler App when a client checks in.

 

Clients can self-check-in by:


  1. Downloading your custom MyTime white-labeled app from the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS)
  2. From the home screen, tap the account icon in the top-right corner                
  3. On the sign-in page, clients can either log in using their MyTime consumer credentials or choose the option to sign in using their Facebook account                                                                            
  4. After signing in, clients will land on the My Account page, where they can view and manage account details 
  5. To check in, tap the Home icon in the bottom panel to return to the homepage 
  6. The Check-In option will be displayed

                                                                     


Once checked in:

  • The staff member assigned to the appointment will receive a push notification in the Scheduler App 
  • The appointment status will automatically update to Checked-In
