Checking Out Pet Appointments in POS

Appointments for pets can be seamlessly checked out directly from the POS, enabling a streamlined workflow. During this process, services rendered during the appointment can be reviewed and payments can be processed. This article will walk through the process of checking out appointments for pets in POS.


Things to Know:


  • The ability to create tickets is controlled by the "Creating Tickets" access control setting.
  • If a pet appointment does not have an associated ticket, a "Create Ticket" button will appear in the appointment modal.
  • If an appointment does have an open ticket, the modal will display an "Open Ticket" button instead.
  • If a service is covered by a membership or package, you’ll see an “In Membership” or “In Package” label next to it on the ticket.
  • The “Key In Card” option on the Take Payment screen can be hidden via a hidden setting. To enable this, please contact the MyTime Support team at support@mytime.com

Checking Out Pet Appointments From POS

 

  1. Navigate to POS > New Ticket
  2. Add the client and choose the desired location (if applicable) 
  3. Click the "Services" tab to the right side of the ticket 
  4. Select "+Add Service" 
  5. In the "Add Service to Ticket" modal, enter the appointment details 
  6. Click 'Save'
  7. If the appointment was already booked, use the search bar to find it by the pet’s or client’s name
  8. Once saved, the appointment will be added to the ticket
  9. Click "Take Payment"
  10. Enter the client's payment method and select 'Close Ticket' 


A confirmation banner will appear at the top of the screen once the ticket is successfully closed.


Checking Out Pet Appointment From The Schedule in POS


In the Schedule, locate and select the appointment
Click Create Ticket at the bottom of the appointment modal
On the New Ticket screen, click Take Payment
Enter the client’s payment method and click Close Ticket
A confirmation banner will appear at the top of the screen once the ticket is successfully closed.

  1. In the Schedule, locate and select the appointment you want to check out
  2. Click 'Create Ticket' at the bottom of the appointment modal
  3. On the New Ticket screen, select the 'Take Payment' button at the bottom 
  4. Enter the client's payment method and click 'Close Ticket'
