QuickSight Integration

QuickSight is a cloud-based business intelligence (BI) and data visualization tool integrated into MyTime. It allows users to analyze data, create interactive dashboards, and generate reports directly within the platform. Businesses often use it to track key metrics, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions.


Things to know:

  • This feature requires an additional subscription and the activation of a hidden setting, which can only be enabled by the MyTime team. For assistance, contact your account manager or our support team at [email protected].
  • There are three types of subscription for QuickSight:
    • Franchisor Read-Only Access:
      • MyTime builds custom reports in AWS QuickSight

      • Franchisors (parent account owners) only have access with no additional cost
    • Franchisor and Location Owner Read-Only Access
      • MyTime builds custom reports in AWS QuickSight

      • An additional monthly cost per location

      • Both franchisors (parent account owners) and location owners (child account owners) have access to these reports

    • Franchisor Author Access
      • Franchisors (parent account owners) build and manage their own reports in AWS QuickSight
      • Additional monthly cost billed to parent company 

  • By default, QuickSight is accessible only to account owners. However, you can grant access to location managers as well. This access is controlled by a hidden setting that can only be enabled by the MyTime team. To request activation, please contact our Support Team at [email protected].
  • When a new child account is created, QuickSight must also be enabled for that account. There is an option to automatically enable QuickSight for all new child accounts; however, this functionality is controlled by a hidden setting that can only be activated by the MyTime team. To request activation, please contact our Support Team at [email protected].
  • Reports and dashboards are maintained through structured datasets, which are refreshed regularly every 3 hours.


Once the subscription is added and the hidden setting is enabled, you can access and view the reports uploaded to the Dashboard (For Franchisor Read-Only Access & Franchisor & Location Owner Read-Only Access):


  1. Navigate to Dashboard 
  2. Click the QuickSight hyperlink in the navigation bar
  3. You will be directed to the QuickSight dashboard. Here you can view your reports

Use this to search for a specific report by name
Filters

Last Published
Grid View
List View
Last Published: Filter reports by the date they were last published, either from newest to oldest or oldest to newest. You can also sort by Dashboard name in ascending or descending order.

Grid View: Allows you to view reports in a grid layout

List View: Allows you to view reports in a list layout
FavoritesDisplays reports that have been marked as favorites (by clicking the star icon) from the Dashboard.
RecentShows all reports that have been recently viewed
Shared FoldersDisplays reports that have been shared with the currently logged-in user
DashboardDisplays reports generated by the MyTime team


For businesses with "Franchisor Read-Only Access" or "Franchisor & Location Owner Read-Only Access," pre-created reports will be available. However, businesses with "Franchisor Author Access" have the ability to create their own reports.
