Add Book Now Button to Facebook

Businesses are now using many forms of social media to help pull in additional customers based on mutual acquaintances and likes. MyTime offers seamless online bookings & payments right from your business’s Facebook page. When a client books an appointment through Facebook, their information is automatically pulled from their Facebook account and entered into the MyTime platform. In this article, we will walk through the steps to configure your Facebook page to accept bookings and how this works. 

Things to know:

• The ability to access website tools is controlled by the "Accessing Website Tools" access control setting
• To add the Book Now button to your Facebook page, you must be an owner or admin of that page.
• When clients click the Book Now button on your Facebook page, they will be directed to your MyTime booking widget.
• Facebook Booking Source Tracking:

  • Source Identification: Appointments booked using this method are categorized under the exact source label "Online Booking - Facebook."

  • Tracking Locations: This source label is logged across the following areas of the system:

    • Reports: Appears in both the Booking by Source report and the Business Snapshot report.

    • Audit Trail: Recorded in the Appointment Modal audit trail for individual bookings.

    • Dashboard Analytics: Displays within the Source of Appointment chart on the Dashboard > Booking tab.

Adding a 'Book Now' button to your Facebook page:

1. Access your company's Facebook page
2. Click the ellipsis (...) located in the top-right corner of the page's menu > Click 'Add action button'
3. Select "Try It" on the pop-up                                                                                                                                                        
4. Choose 'Book Now' for your action button and then 'Next'                                                                                                  
5. Select 'Connect Another Tool'                                                                                                                                            
6. Scroll to locate MyTime and select it                                                                                                                                          
7. You will be required to grant permission for MyTime to manage your business connection to Facebook. Select 'Continue'                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
8. You will then be prompted to sign in to your MyTime account and then select which one of the accounts you want MyTime to be linked to if classes should be included (where applicable) > Click 'Done'                                                    
9. Next, confirm your settings, then select "Continue"
10. Confirm linking by selecting "Continue"                                                                                                                                            
11. Once the linking is confirmed, select "Done"                                                                                                              

The Book Now button will now appear on your Facebook page as seen in the screenshot below:
