Google Analytics 4 (GA4) collects event-based data, with each event representing a distinct action. In this article, we'll go through how to set up Google Analytics 4 tracking on your MyTime embeddable widget on your website or the express checkout page.
Things to know:
- The ability to add a Google Analytics 4 ID on MyTime is governed by the "Accessing Website Tools" access control.
- GTM tracking is not required after G4 tracking is configured
- You will need to re-embed the widget on your website once you update the setting
- For businesses with multiple locations under a single child account, the GA4 configuration will automatically apply to all locations within that account.

To configure your Google Analytics 4 ID:
- Go to https://analytics.google.com/analytics
If you have a Google account, click Sign in. If not, click Create an account
- If you don't already have an analytics account, click the Start Measuring button

- You will then be taken to the Admin page, where you can finish configuring your account
- Enter the name of your business in the Account name field
- To control which data you share with Google, configure the data-sharing settings

- Click Next to add the first property to the account - You can add up to 2,000 properties (any combination of Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4 properties) to an Analytics account. To raise this limit, contact your Google support representative.
- Add your property details
- Add your Property Name - This can be the name of your store location
- Update your country and time zone
- Update your currency

- Click Next
- Enter relevant information about your business under About your business section
- Click Next, select your industry category and business size
- Click Next, select how you intend to use Google Analytics
- Click Create
- Accept the Analytics Terms of Service and the Data Processing Amendment
- Continue to Add a data stream to start collecting data
Choose the platform that you will use to track your data 
Web - Set up data stream by adding your website link and name
Android App for Androids - Follow the instructions to add the app for Android devices
iOS App for iPhones - Follow the instructions to add the app iOS devices
- Once completed, your data stream details will be displayed
- Copy the measurement ID

Add Google Analytics 4 ID on MyTime
Log into your MyTime account:
- Navigate to Business Setup > Website Tools
- Select the Setup button next to Add Appointment Booking to Your Website

- Select the Booking Widget or Express Checkout option, then proceed to set up the widget

- On your Booking Page Setup, enter the Google Analytics 4 measurement ID from your GA4 account

- Embed the code to your website
