Purchasing Memberships on the Guest App

Clients can purchase memberships via the consumer app which is similar to the way they would purchase them via the widget. In this article, we'll outline the steps your clients need to follow to purchase memberships using your guest app


Things to know:

  • To configure your account for membership purchases, learn more here

  • When checking out on the booking widget, if the "Store Clients' Credit Cards?" setting is set to "Yes, but don't require them to schedule appointments," selecting the "how we use your payment information" hyperlink will display the following reason: "This makes it easier to manage your active membership by automatically processing recurring membership charges."

  • When clients purchase memberships online through the booking widget, express checkout page, or your custom guest app and enter their card details, the option to save their card on their profile in-store and in their online user account will automatically be checked and cannot be unchecked.

  • Purchasing memberships online can also be paid for using a bank account. This option is controlled by the “Enable ACH Payments” hidden setting, which can only be activated by the MyTime team. To enable this feature, please contact support@mytime.com. Learn more here


.Clients can purchase memberships on the guest app by:

  1. Downloading your custom MyTime white-labeled app from the Google Play Store (for Android users) or the Apple App Store (for iOS users).
  2. Upon downloading, navigate to the home screen and tap on the account icon located in the top right corner                                                                           mceclip1.png
  3. On the sign-in page, they can either log in using their MyTime consumer credentials or choose                                                                                                   
  4. Upon signing in, clients will be directed to the My Account page, providing them access to view and manage their account details                                                                                                                                                   
  5. They can then purchase a membership from 2 places:
    • Clicking Membership on their My Account page                                                                                                                                           
    • Clicking the 'Home' icon at the bottom of the page directs them to the home page to then select "Purchase Memberships                                                                   
  6. Both options take them to the location selector page, where they can select the desired location where they want to purchase the membership. In this example, we will use the Test - Linstead location                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  
  7. Choose a membership and tap on the ‘Buy" button 
  8. Enter card details and then the “Complete Purchase" button mceclip6.png
  9. The confirmation page will display all the membership details
