Deleting Locations

Modified on Thu, 1 May at 4:23 PM

In this article, we will guide you through the steps of deleting a location at both the parent and child levels, and we'll also cover the implications and outcomes once a location is successfully deleted.

Things to know:

  • The ability to delete locations is governed by the "Accessing Business Profile" access control setting.
  • Once a location is deleted, all booked appointments, whether current or scheduled for the future, will be canceled.
  • Refunds and edits cannot be processed for tickets linked to a deleted location or account.
    • If a child account is deleted, the associated tickets will no longer be accessible.
    • If a single location is deleted from a child account that still has other active locations, the tickets will remain accessible from the client profile and reports but cannot be edited or refunded.
  • Deleted locations will appear in reports and on the dashboard only if the selected date range aligns with the period when the location was active, including its creation and deletion dates. These locations will be labeled with "(Deleted)" next to their names. Learn more here
  • The deleted location will no longer appear in the location drop-down on the Clients tab.   However, clients associated with the deleted location will still remain visible in the client list.
  • If a client was associated solely with the deleted location, the "Associated Location" section on their profile will indicate "No Location." If the client was linked to multiple locations, the deleted location will be removed from the associated list.
  • If a client has a preferred location set on their profile and that location is later deleted, any automated messages or campaigns sent to the client will display the sending location’s address instead of the deleted location’s address.
  • The membership and package interface will no longer display deleted locations in the location selection. However, if a membership or package was purchased from a deleted location, the location's name will still appear in the membership or package details on the client’s profile.
  • Memberships on client profiles will remain active, with the deleted location still listed as the original purchase location. However, the purchase location can be updated to an active location, and all future charges will be associated with the new location.
