Location Management

MyTime allows franchisors (parent accounts) to manage multiple franchise (child) accounts and their respective locations from a centralized Location Management tab. This article covers how to create, manage, and delete child accounts and their locations. This guide covers how to create, manage, and delete child accounts and their locations.


Things to know:

  • Child accounts are listed alphabetically on the location management tab, regardless of their creation date
  • All staff members at the parent level can access and manage this tab.
  • When adding a new child account, you can copy settings from an existing child account by using its template. Learn more here.
  • Deleting a child account will remove all clients, appointments, employees, and services tied to that account.
  • To delete a child account, you must first remove the associated location(s)
  • The  historical transaction data for the deleted location(s) and child account will still be accessible at the parent level if the global database is enabled.

Adding Child Accounts


  1. Log in as the franchisor (parent account)
  2. Navigate to the Location Management tab21504993-26507a51e93b6d6aee7070c60baff3d4.png
  3. Click +Add Child Account
  4. The "Add Child Account" modal will open. Fill in the following fields:
    • First Name/Last Name: The franchise owner's name
    • Company Name: The name of the franchise business
    • Phone Number: Contact number for the franchise owner
    • Email Address: The franchise owner's email address
    • Password: The password that the franchise owner will use
    • Brand Name: Brand associated with the franchise
    • MyTime Subscription: Choose the subscription type
    • Paid By: Specify whether the franchisor or the franchisee will cover the subscription cost
  5. Click Save when finished. You can now proceed to add locations under this child account.


Once the location owner is created, you can now add locations.


Adding Locations


  1. Click + Add Location at the bottom left of the page, or expand the arrow next to a child account name and select + Add Location.
  2. In the 'Add Location' modal, enter the key details for the new location:
    • Travel to Customers: Check if this is a mobile business
    • Child Account Owner: Select the newly created child account from the dropdown
    • Location Nickname: Assign an internal nickname for the location 
    • Store ID/Entity ID: A unique identifier used for tasks such as importing clients
    • Address: Enter the complete street address, including city, state, and ZIP code
    • Phone number for the location: Enter the phone number for the location
    • Email for the location: This can be different from the account owner's email and will be used for communications specific to this location
    • Tax Number: Optional tax ID for the business
    • Grouping: Add the location to any existing location groups
    • Cover Photo: Optional image for the business
    • Photo of your Business (Up to 10): Upload up to 10 images
    • Online Presence: Add links to the business’s website and social platforms
  3. Click Save location info. Once saved, the location will appear under the respective child account in alphabetical order. 
  4. To filter by location, use the Location dropdown menu at the top of the Location Management tab.

Deleting Child Accounts


To delete a child account:

  1. Delete All Associated Locations:
    • Expand the arrow next to the desired child account
    • Click "Edit Location"  
    • In the edit location modal, scroll down and click "Delete Location" 
    • In the confirmation pop-up, type "delete," then click "Delete."
  2. Delete the Child Account:
    • Return to the Location Management tab and click Edit next to the child account. 
    • In the Edit Child Account modal, click Delete Child Account Owner. 
    • Type "delete" in the confirmation popup and click Delete. 


Once the child account is deleted, all data associated with that child account will be removed from the parent account.
