Edit Clients' Associated Locations

You can update a client’s associated location at any time from their profile. This article will walk you through the steps.


Things to know:

  • The ability to edit or remove a client’s associated location is controlled by the "Edit Client Information" access control setting.
  • You can remove any associated location from a client’s profile, even if it was added through a past purchase or appointment. However, you cannot remove a location that is currently set as the client’s preferred location.
  • A tooltip will appear next to any location linked to an appointment, and a star icon will indicate the client’s preferred location.
  • For franchise businesses:
    • At the parent level, you can remove (disassociate) any associated location from a client’s profile, regardless of which child account the location is tied to.
    • Child accounts cannot disassociate a location linked to another child account. For example, if a client is associated with both Child A and Child B, Child A cannot remove the location tied to Child B, and vice versa.


To edit or delete a client's associated location: 

  1. Navigate to the Clients tab
  2. Search for the desired client  
  3. Click on the pencil icon next to Associated Locations                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               
  4. When the modal opens, select the "Add Location" link to add another associated location or the "Delete" link to delete the associated location
    • Selecting Delete will immediately remove the location from the list—no confirmation prompt will appear
    • Selecting Add Location allows you to choose from available locations that are not already associated with the client
    •  
  5. Once done, Save
