Modified on Tue, 3 Jun at 4:11 PM

In this article, we'll walk through the steps on how to update inventory product prices, costs, and quantities using CSV files.

Things to know:

  • The ability to update a product's price, cost, and/or quantity via ingest data is governed by the 'Accessing Ingest Data' access control setting.
  • The ability to update products' price, cost, and/or quantity via CSV files is controlled by a hidden setting that only the MyTime team can enable. To enable the hidden setting, please contact our support team at support@mytime.com.
  • When making changes, be sure to use the Location ID column (Column D) to identify the correct location for each product, ensuring that updates are applied accurately.

To update product price, cost, and/or quantity:

  1. Navigate to POS > Inventory
  2. Export your inventory by clicking the Export link at the bottom right of the page
  3. The inventory data will be downloaded in a zip file. In that file, locate and open the inventory_stocks sheet.

    deleted

This gives you the option to delete products by changing the '0's to '1's

  5. Once you have made changes to the product's price, cost, and/or quantity, download the sheet as a CSV file
  6. On the Inventory page, click Import
  7. On the Import Inventory page, read the instructions and then click "Upload File Here"
  8. Select the CSV file from the file manager and then click the Import button
  9. You will then be directed to the Ingest Data Processed batch page, with the file located at the top
  10. Refresh the page until it is completed. When completed, the file will be assigned an end time and the status will be changed to Finished
