Manage Pet Profile on Booking Widget

In this article, we will discuss how to manage pet profiles on the booking widget. 

Things to know:

  • Pets cannot be deleted from the My Account section on the booking widget if the pet has a membership in active, suspended, frozen, or pending cancellation status. If an attempt is made to delete such a pet, the error message "This pet cannot be deleted because there is an active membership in place. Please contact the business directly" will be displayed.
  • Pets that have been deleted will appear ahead of deceased pets in the pet section when viewing from the client profile, and they will be grayed out
  • If pets have an existing appointment and their profiles are deleted, the appointment will also be removed

Accessing My Account Interface

Clients can access account management on the booking widget by:

  1. Navigating to your website
  2. Select the Sign in link at the top right of the page 
  3. Enter their credentials, then click Sign In            
  4. Once signed in, click the drop-down arrow next to their initials to expand the drop-down menu, and then select "Account" 
  5. Clients can access different sections by clicking on the options listed in the left sidebar. Initially, the Account Settings section will be displayed first. This default setting enables users to oversee both their personal and pet profiles.

Managing Pet Profiles

Clients can manage their pet accounts by:

Adding New Pet Profiles

  1. From the Account page, click Add Pet
  2. The 'Add New Pet' modal will appear. Add your pet details
  3. Click 'Save Pet'
  4. A confirmation will then appear at the top of the page

Editing Existing Pet Profiles

  1. From the Account page, locate the pet profile you wish to edit
  2. Click the 'Edit' link
  3. The 'Edit Pet Information' modal will appear. Update the pet's details
  4. Click 'Save Changes'
  5. A confirmation will then appear at the top of the page

Changes made to pet information will be reflected when viewing from the client's profile.

Deleting Pet Profiles

  1. From the Account page, locate the pet you wish to delete
  2. Click 'Delete' 
  3. Confirm on the pop-up message if the pet is deceased by checking the "Deceased" box
  4. Click the "Delete Pet" button
  5. A confirmation will then appear at the top of the page
