Global Classes

A class, whether conducted in person or virtually, serves as a platform for instructors to engage with multiple attendees simultaneously. Global Classes are created at the parent level and are automatically added to the child level upon configuration, eliminating the need for manual setup in each franchisee account. In this article, we will outline the steps for creating global classes.

Things to know:

  • To configure classes for clients to schedule, the "Schedule Classes / Events" setting must be enabled on your account.
  • For franchise businesses, once a class is created at the parent level, it will automatically be added at the child level.

  • Classes can be duplicated if needed, which helps avoid the hassle of creating multiple classes with the same price or similar features. This duplication can be done at either the parent or child level. If you choose to duplicate a class, you will have the option to edit all details under the class configuration.

  • At the child level, on the class configuration page, you can edit the following for the global class:

    • Duration

    • Attendee Type

    • Eligible Instructors

  3. The "Create Class Category" modal will appear. Add a category name and click "Save."
  4. The category name will be displayed on the classes page. From there, you can add your classes
  5. To add your classes, click the "+Add another class in [class category]" hyperlink
  6. The "Create Class Type" modal will appear. Here, you can add:
    • Class Name: The name of the class that will be displayed
    • Category: Auto-filled to the category that was created before; however, if you have more than 1 category, you can change to another
    • Description: The details of the class that will be displayed to your clients
    • What To Bring: Here you add if any material or items are required for the class that the clients will need to take along with them
    • Select child company: Select the preferred child account that will have access to book this class
    • Locations: Select the preferred location of the class or event.
    • Duration: This is how long the class or event will last.
    • Eligible Instructors: Select the staff member(s) that are qualified to instruct the class
    • Eligible Resources: A resource is any item necessary for a service that must be booked in conjunction with that service. These items are normally found in your back bar. Select the resources needed to be booked with the class
    • Attendee Type: You may also configure how far in advance your clients can book the class
    • Cancellation Policy: Set up your cancellation policy according to your preferences, allowing clients to cancel up until the class session starts or by specifying a custom time frame for cancellations.
If the 'Custom' option is selected, and a value is added, the "If A Client Fails To Cancel In Advance Should MyTime Charge Them?" setting will appear. When toggled to 'Yes', you can configure how MyTime should handle charges for late cancellations. You can choose to charge clients the full amount for the class/event, a percentage of the class/event value, or a flat fee
  7. Click on the "Save" option located at the bottom of the modal

After saving, both the category name and its associated classes will be displayed on the account
