Discontinue Products via Inventory Spreadsheet

Implementing the discontinuation of a product is crucial to minimize any negative impact on your business and clients. Fortunately, MyTime has simplified the process of discontinuing products in your inventory. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to discontinue a product using the inventory spreadsheet.

Disable Allow Exporting Inventory In Ingest Data Format

1. Go to Location Setup > Settings

2. Navigate to the POS settings, locate "Allow exporting inventory in ingest data format"

3. Toggle setting to "OFF"

4. Save

 

Discontinue Products Using The Inventory Spreadsheet

  1. Go to POS > Inventory
  2. Select the Export link at the bottom right of the page IMG_0561.jpg
  3. A spreadsheet titled Inventory from {the location name and date} will be downloaded. Click on the exported file to open the spreadsheet 
  4. Select SKU tab
  5. On the spreadsheet, locate the products you wish to discontinue, then change the N to Y in the Discontinued? column IMG_0565.jpg
  6. Save the spreadsheet 
  7. Navigate to your Inventory page and click Import at the bottom right of the page IMG_0567.jpg
  8. Select the desired location, then click the Upload file here button IMG_0570.jpg
  9. Select the downloaded file from your download folder 
  10. Click Import

Upon uploading the file, discontinued items will be removed from the inventory and will no longer be visible.
