Adding a referrer in MyTime is pretty simple. You have the option to add a referrer during appointment creation for a new client or directly on their client profile. In this article, we will explore both options.

Adding Referral via Client Profile
A referral can be added directly to a client profile in two ways when the profile is being created or after the client is created.
Adding Referral During Profile Creation
- Go to the Clients tab
- Select +Add Client button
- Find the Referred field and search for an existing client that made the referral
- Once the client name appears, select Enter
- Save

- After creating the new client
- Scroll down to the Referral Credit Section
- Click on the Add Referral Credit link
- Search for an existing client
- Save
The client selected as the referrer will be shown below the Referrer field in the Referral Credit section.

Once you have set up your referral program, you can add the referral source while booking an appointment for the referred client. To do this:
- Go to your Schedule
- Open the new appointment modal
- Click the new client icon
- The "Referred by Existing Customer" checkbox will appear
- Once checked, a search field for existing clients will appear
- Search for the client who made the referral. In this example, we will select Lee Hewitt as the referrer
- Once you have added all the appointment details, save the appointment
Adding Referral via Appointment Modal in POS
- Navigate to POS > New Ticket
- Select the + Add Service link on the right panel
- Click on the Add Client icon
- The "Referred by Existing Customer" checkbox will appear
- Once checked, a search field for existing clients will appear
- Search for the client who made the referral
- Once you have added all the appointment details, save the appointment
The following will happen:
- The referrer and referee will receive a Thank You notification if the template is enabled
- The referral earned credit will appear on the referee and referrer profile
