In this article, we will look at how the commission is calculated for items covered by a membership. When a membership is used to cover an appointment or product, the commission can be calculated on the regular retail service/product price or on the internal price set on the membership template. Let's look at some examples:
Staff Commission Calculated on Regular Retail Price
Membership Name - Mixed Membership
Product - Angels' Eyes Plus Beef
Product price in inventory - $26.99
Service - Men's Cut
Service price on service menu - $100
Staff - Kelly
Commission Structure on staff profile:
-
20 % commission on services
-
10 % commission on products
Based on the settings above, when a client books an appointment or purchases a product that is covered by the Mixed Membership, the employee will receive the following commission:
- Service commission - $100 x 20% = $20
- Product commission - $26.99 x 10 % = $2.69 / $2.70
Staff Commission Calculated on Internal Price
Membership Name - Haircut Membership

Product price that should be used to calculate commission - $15

-
10 % commission on products
Based on the settings above, when a client books an appointment or purchases a product that is covered by the Haircut Membership, the employee will receive the following commission:
