MyTime allows businesses to sell packages and memberships that give customers certain benefits that can apply to services, classes, or products. When you sell packages and memberships through POS, we immediately apply the benefits on services, classes, and products on the same ticket as the package/membership purchase. In this article, we will look at some examples of how this can be done.
Before we begin, there are some important things to note:
-
The “In Package” or “In Membership” label will be displayed on each applicable item if a relevant package or membership is purchased on the same ticket.
-
Membership discounts will automatically apply to each applicable item.
-
Membership dollar credits will automatically apply on the payment screen.
-
If the membership or package or their usage is removed from the ticket, all items will return to their regular pricing.
-
If the membership start date is in the future, credits will not be applied.
To get started, let's now look at how it all works for packages:
Packages
Client - Jenna Green
Package Name - Facial Package
Package Quantity - 5 Facial services
- Go to your schedule and book an appointment for the client (ensure that the service can be covered by a package). You can also add the appointment directly from POS. In this example, we booked an appointment for a Mud Facial service.
-
Checkout appointment
-
Add the Facial package to the ticket
-
The “In Package” label will be applied to the applicable service. In the screenshot below, the label is applied to the Mud Facial service.
-
Proceed to take payment for the package and close the ticket.
The package balance will be adjusted to reflect the usage. The client used 1 Facial credit out of 5, so the balance remaining is 4. This can be seen on the client profile and Package Balance report.

Go to your schedule and book an appointment for multiple services (ensure that one can be covered by a membership). You can also add the appointment directly from POS. In this example, we booked an appointment for a Men's Haircut and Mud Facial.
-
Checkout the appointment
-
Add a membership to the ticket. In this example, we added the Monthly membership.
-
The “In Membership” label and membership discount will be applied to each applicable item.
-
On the payment screen, the membership dollar credits will also be applied.
-
You can then proceed to take payment and close the ticket.
The membership dollar and item credit balance will be adjusted to reflect the usage. The client in the example above, the client used 1 service credit out of 3 (balance 2 Men's Cut service) and $80 credit out of $300 (balance of $220). This can be seen on the client profile and the Membership Credit and Dollar Credit reports.
