Lane/7000 & Lane/8000 - Setup

 

Connect terminal to power and internet

  1. Follow the instructions in the video above OR the visual aid below to connect your reader to your network. This card reader 
      1. If you are connecting the Lane/7000 via WiFi (select models only) follow the steps here to connect to WiFi - then refer to this article to complete the setup. 

Register the terminal to your MyTime account (This Lane Closed)

  1. Once connected and the reader has booted up you will see the MyTimePay screen (as seen below). If you don't see a MyTime Pay screen (e.g. you see This Lane Closed) screen you need to register your reader to your MyTime account. Follow the steps here to register your reader. Return to this article after registration. 

Run a Test

  1. Click here to see how to run a $00.01 test transaction and confirm your reader is functioning properly.

**TIP If you ever need to force reboot your terminal, hold the yellow key + # for 3 seconds**

Tips & Tricks

  1. To reboot your terminal, hold the yellow key + # for 3 seconds
  2. To check the terminal status (internet connection, battery life, etc), press 0000 on the keypad. 

Troubleshooting

150 error

  1. Verify the HOST IP address is correct  
    1. On your keypad press 0000. This will display a terminal status page. Please verify the HOST IP address is 3.136.39.148. If your HOST IP address is different than this please follow the steps below to update. Note** - depending on your terminal model screen size, you may need to scroll down on the status page to find the HOST IP address.

      2. Steps: Press the 2,6,3,4 key sequence and the reader will ask to ‘Press F for menu’. Press the F key which is below the number 7. 
      3. Select TDA -> Configuration -> Communication -> Ethernet Settings -> Host IP Address ->
      4. Enter 3.136.39.148 (use the # key to input the period “.” character). If this IP address is already entered you can press the red X until you return to the home screen then skip to step 3 below. 
      5. Press the circle green key to save. You will return to the previous screen. 
      6. Press the red X button until the terminal asks “Save and Reboot?“ -> Select Yes
    2. Once connected and the reader has booted up you will see the MyTimePay screen (as seen below). If you don't see a MyTime Pay screen (e.g. you see This Lane Closed) screen you need to register your reader first. Follow the steps here to register your reader then return to this article after registration. 
  2. Verify your card reader is connected to the internet 
    1. On your keypad press 0000. This will display a terminal status page.
    2. Scroll to CONNECTION STATUS. It should read ACTIVE or CONNECTED. If it is NOT CONNECTED please work with your network admin to establish an internet connection to this device.
