New Vs. Existing Client Appointment/Class Logic

Below is the logic MyTime uses when distinguishing New Clients vs. Existing Clients:

Appointment Booked By Business

1. The "New Client" label on appointments in Scheduler is based on whether that was the first appointment booked. If a second appointment is booked, and the first appointment is not completed, but also not canceled, then we will not show "New Client" on the second appointment. For instance, if the first appointment was booked on December 12 for December 20  and the 2nd appointment was booked on December 15 for December 17, the "New Client" label will be displayed on the appointment for December 20 since it was booked first.

2. The first appointment will be the one that shows the "New Client" label, and it will not move to the second appointment when the first appointment goes into the past.

3. When we check whether applying a promotion is allowed, if it's for new customers only, the check is whether there is an appointment/class that ended in the past that is not deleted/canceled/no-show. We completely ignore the status otherwise, as well as the setting for whether appointments are auto-completed.

4. New client vs existing client price

a. If no appointment is completed then the "new client pricing" will apply.

b. If the first appointment is completed or has started, the "existing client pricing" will apply to the second appointment or any other appointment booked afterward.

Appointment Booked By Client

1. The "New Client" label on appointments takes into consideration the date the appointment was completed or if the start time is before the current time. For instance, if on December 15 the client books an appointment for December 15 and December 20, both appointments will have the "New Client" label attached as none of them are completed.

2. If the first appointment is completed or has started, the "New Client" label will not be displayed on the second appointment.

3. New client vs existing client price

a. If no appointment is completed then the "new client pricing" will apply.

b. If the first appointment is completed or has started, the "existing client pricing" will apply to the second appointment or any other appointment booked afterward.

Class Enrolment Booked By Business

1. The "New Client" label on a class enrolment takes into consideration the end time of the class session. If on December 15 the client enrolled for a session on December 16 and December 20, both enrolments will have the "New Client" label attached as none of the sessions are completed.

2. If the client had attended a class event where the end time of the event is in the past, and it wasn't canceled, then they are not considered a new client.

Class Enrolment Booked By Client

1. The "New Client" label on a class enrolment takes into consideration the end time of the class session.

2. If the client had attended a class event where the end time of the event is in the past, and it wasn't canceled, then they are not considered a new client.
