Add Appointment Booking to Your Website

Let clients book appointments on your website. You can choose to have them book on MyTime or right on your website. The MyTime online booking experience features:

  • Modern responsive design that looks great and will maximize conversion rates
  • Customization of colors and styles to better blend into your website or mobile app

Things to know:

  • Your account must be live
  • Online booking has to be enabled
  • Staff members must be assigned to services and have work hours setup
  • When you update the configuration, you must re-embed the widget on your website

To get started:

  1. Navigate to Business Setup > Website Tools
  2. Select the Setup button next to Add Appointment Booking & Purchases to Your Website WB_tool.png
  3. You can choose to install a widget or express checkout link  
    • Express Checkout - When clients click the Express Checkout Book Now button, they are redirected to your MyTime booking page. The Book Now button is free for everyone with a MyTime account.
    • Booking Widget - The client books directly on your website. When the client clicks on the widget, a popup will appear directly on your website, allowing clients to book (see examples below). Booking through a widget is free for merchants on Premium and Enterprise MyTime subscriptions, and costs $0.75 per transaction for businesses without a Premium subscription.

Installing Widget

  1. Select the Booking Widget option then proceed to set up the widget unnamed__4_.png
  2. On the Customize Booking Page Theme page, set up your button and widget theme then select next to proceed to the installation page 
  3. From there, configure the following:
    • In the left panel
      • Default Location: For the service embed flow to work, you must choose a location. The location is required to search for the services correctly
      • Widget Includes: Select “Services” from the Widget Includes dropdown menu; multiple selections can be made to include memberships, packages, gift cards, etc
      • Default Service Location: You can then decide if the widget should default to in-store or the client's location 
      • Default To: Select Services

  4. Copy the code and embed it on your website 

Installing an Express Checkout Button

  1. Select Express Checkout, then proceed to the Booking Page Settings Website_Tools___MyTime__1_.png
  2. On the Booking Settings page, you can customize the booking page theme page, set up your button and widget themes, and choose what you'd like the layout of your button to look like
    • In the left panel
      • Default Location: For the service embed flow to work, you must choose a location. The location is required to search for the services correctly
      • Booking Page Includes: Select “Services” from the Widget Includes dropdown menu; multiple selections can be made to include memberships, packages, gift cards, etc
      • Default Service Location: You can then decide if the widget should default to in-store or the client's location 
      • Default To: Select Services

    • Under the Book Button setting:
      • Your button can hover over your website or have a fixed placement 
      • You can also choose the button position and it will appear either horizontally or vertically on your page 
      • You will also be able to choose the default location, then select next to proceed to the installation page 
  3. Copy the code and embed it on your website

Congratulations, appointment booking is now available on your website!

**It is important to note that you will need to re-embed the widget on your website once you update the setting.**

Deep Linking Services

To create a direct link to a service on your booking widget:

  1. On the Installation page, specify the location, service category, service variation, or staff member the widget should default to:

    • In the left panel:

      • Default Location- For the service embed flow to work, you must choose a location. The location is required to search for the services correctly

      • Widget Includes - Allows you to add additional options to your service widget, such as gift cards, packages, and memberships, as well as allow clients to access their account

      • Default To - Allows you to specify which option (service, gift cards, packages, memberships, etc. should be selected by default on the booking widget

      • Default Service Category - Select your desired service category to be preselected

      • Default Service Variation - Select your desired service variation to be preselected

      • Default Staff Member - Provides a list of all staff members from which to choose. Select your desired service category to be preselected

    • Promo Code: A unique code can be entered here that will automatically apply a discount to your client's bookings

  2. Below that, set up your button and widget theme, then select next to proceed to the installation page

  3. On the installation page, copy the generated code 

  4. Embed it on your website 

When your clients click on the link or button on your website, the specific service will be preselected by default, and they will be directed to the date picker; however, if the service has an add-on, the add-on modal will appear for them to select from before directing them to the date picker.
