The appointment visits count on the schedule will reflect the number of appointments a client has completed for each service category. Each service category will display its own individual count. This article explains how the appointment visit count feature works.
Things to know:
- This feature is controlled by "Display Service Count on Appointment Tiles" setting
- The number of appointment visits for each category will be updated based on completed appointments
- Cancelled appointments are not counted since they are no longer visible in the scheduler
- Add-ons are not included in the number of appointments and are not classified as a service category
Enable Number of Appointment Visits Setting
- Navigate to Business Setup > Settings
- Under the Calendar section, scroll to the setting "Display Service Count on Appointment Tiles"
- Toggle the setting to "Yes"
- Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save"

Number of Appointment Visits Based on Appointment Type
Appointment Type | Description |
Completed Appointments |
Appointments in the past will have consecutive numbers once they have been marked as completed. eg. the appointments will be labeled as 1, 2, and 3 if Maxine Brown received a Swedish Massage on January 1 (appointment 1), March 1 (appointment 2), and May 1 (appointment 3) |
Future Appointments | All future appointments will show the same count. eg. If Lucy Campbell had two previous Gel Pedicure appointments marked as 'Completed' and has three more booked for future dates, all three future appointments will be labeled with the number 3 |
Recurring Appointments |
If one appointment in the recurring series is deleted, the count will update for the subsequent appointments. eg. If Maxine Brown has a Swedish Massage service scheduled for the 5th of each month from January to May, has completed the January and February appointments, but cancels the March appointment, the appointments for April and May will be updated with the number 3 label until they are marked as 'Completed.' |
No-show Appointments |
Appointments marked as a no-show will retain the visit count. eg. If Samantha Brown has her 5th Gel Pedi appointment marked as a no-show, the tile will display the number 5. However, this appointment will not be counted for future appointments and as such, the next Gel Pedi appointment booked will also display the number 5. |
Waitlist Appointment | Waitlist appointments will display the count during the waiting phase (striped). eg. If Troy Henry has completed 2 Hot Stone Massage appointments and has an appointment for the same service on the waitlist, the count on the waitlist appointment will show the number 3. |
Couples Appointments |
Only the main client's previous visits are considered and counted, not the guest's. eg. If Marsha Samuels (the main client) schedules a couples massage for herself and an additional guest (Phillip Samuels), the count will only display for Marsha Samuels. |
Service Group Appointments |
The maximum number is used if the appointment includes services from two different categories. eg. If Jade Williams previously scheduled and completed a single Gel Mani service, and later books appointments within a service group (Gel Mani + Gel Pedi), the count for the Gel Mani service will display as 2 on the service group appointment tile, even though she has not previously received Gel Pedi services. |
