Multi-client services allow you to schedule and manage appointments that involve multiple clients simultaneously. This feature is ideal for services such as couples massage, or any service where multiple clients participate together. In this article, we will discuss how this feature works and outline the steps you need to take to schedule these appointments in-store.
Things to know:
- This feature is controlled by a hidden setting that only the MyTime team can enable. To enable the hidden setting, please contact our Support Team at support@mytime.com.
- Services with the ability to add additional clients can be configured at the parent and child level
- The Scheduler allows you to add more than one client to an appointment, based on the additional client configured for the service. Eg: If the service "Couple Massage" is configured for 4 clients per appointment, the scheduler will allow you to enter details for the client and 3 additional clients.
- Pet/family member accounts will have the option to book services for pets/family members and additional clients
- If the email address entered for the additional client(s) is not already registered in the MyTime database, a new client profile will be created. For existing clients, the system will locate the profile and the appointment will be scheduled for the existing profile.
- Each client on the appointment will receive a booking notification once the "Send confirmation to additional client" checkbox is checked.
- After scheduling a multi-client appointment, you can change the additional client through the appointment modal. Once this change is made, the appointment will appear on the newly added client's profile and will be removed from the originally selected client's profile.
- Canceling the appointment cancels the appointment for both the primary client and the additional client(s).
- Using the "Book Again" option on the booking widget's appointment confirmation page or the appointment modal in-store will not prefill the additional client details previously entered in the new appointment modal.
Configuring Multi-Client Services
Once the hidden setting is enabled:
- Navigate to Business Setup > Services
- Click 'Edit' to open the service modal
- On the 'Add Service" modal, the "Required Clients Per Appointment" field will be visible. Here, you can enter the number of clients that can be booked for this service at once. If 2 is entered, only 2 clients can be booked both online and in-store however, if 3 is entered only 2 clients can be booked online while 3 can be booked in-store.
- Save changes
Booking Appointments for Multi-Client Services In-store
To schedule appointments in-store, you would:
- Navigate to the Scheduler
- Filter by location
- Click on the ‘New Appointment’ button below the calendar on the left-hand side of the Schedule or on a specific time slot directly in the schedule
- When the appointment modal opens, you can add your main client and the service configured for additional clients. Once the service is added, the additional client fields will be displayed:
- In the additional client fields, you can search for an existing client using the search field or add a new client using the new client icon on the right-hand side
- The "Send confirmation to additional client" checkbox is checked by default. If you do not wish to notify the additional clients, you can uncheck this box.
- Save

Client profile
You can see the history of appointments for both clients on the main client profile. The client's profile will show the additional client on the appointment under Upcoming Appointments or Past Bookings and Product Purchases
