Pet Notes

Pet notes serve as a personalized diary for each client's beloved furry companions, capturing all the little details that make them unique. These notes can include observations about their behavior, preferences, health concerns, or any special needs they may have. It's a way for staff members to communicate with each other and provide the best possible care. These notes can be conveniently accessed from any device, providing instant insight into the client's pet preferences.

Things to know:

  • The pet notes section consists of a single note field, which can be edited as frequently as required, accessible from either the pet's profile or an appointment modal. After each edit, the system automatically records the timestamp of the last modification, in addition to displaying the name of the staff member who made the changes.
  • All pet notes will appear as pinned notes on the appointment modal. They will be displayed below the pet's name in the appointment details section and also on the notes page.
  • For clients with multiple pets, each pet note will be displayed under the respective pet's profile.


Adding Pet Notes

To add pet notes on the pet profile:

  1. Navigate to the Clients tab
  2. Locate the client then click on the profile to open
  3. Locate the pet then click the edit icon to open the pet's profile
  4. On the pet's profile, locate the notes section at the bottom of the page 
  5. Add notes then save                               
  6. Once saved, the pet notes will be displayed on the pet's profile and any appointment booked for that pet.


Attaching files to Pet Notes

To add attachments such as images or pet records to pet notes: 

  1. Navigate to the Clients tab > Open the client's profile
  2. On the pet's profile, click on the paperclip icon next to "Attach File"
  3. Upload a file                                             
  4. Save                                                          

Edit/Delete Pet Notes

To edit or delete a pet note:

  1. Navigate to Clients > Open the client's profile
  2. Select the pencil icon on the pet's profile
  3. Locate the notes and proceed to either remove or edit them in the designated field 
  4. To delete attachments, click the red x next to the attachment
  5. Save

View/Edit Pet Notes on Appointment Modal

Pet notes are pinned and displayed below the pet name in the appointment modal. Under the Notes tab, pet notes are initially read-only. However, when you hover over them, they turn blue, and a pencil icon appears, enabling you to click it and make edits.
