The labor forecasting feature will assist you in determining how many staff members you will require at any given time of day to meet forecasting needs on your calendar. To estimate demand predictions, we use historical data gathered from your account.

This is controlled by a hidden setting that only the MyTime team can enable. To enable the hidden setting, please contact our Support Team at support@mytime.com.
Accessing Labor Forecast
Once the hidden setting is enabled, you can access the forecast feature using the steps below:
- Navigate to your schedule
- In the left panel, select the "Hours" button
- You will be directed to the Custom Hours user interface. The forecast data will be visible at the top of the page
- You can do the following:
- Filter by a specific location
- Filter by business hours or all hours
- Filter by a specific day
- Choose between day or week view
- View data for staff or booking forecast

Forecast Definitions

| Scheduled Staff | Displays the number of staff members who are scheduled to work hourly |
Displays the sum of all scheduled hours for each day

| Forecast Staff | Displays the estimated number of staff members who will be required to work each hour using historical data | Displays the estimated total of all the hours required for each day using historical data |
| Booked Staff | Displays the number of staff members who have scheduled appointments for each hour; for example, if a staff member has three appointments in one hour, that staff member will only be counted once | Displays the number of staff members who have appointments scheduled for each day; for example, if a staff member has 10 appointments, that staff member will only be counted once |
| Actual Staff | Displays the number of staff members that were clocked in at each hour |

| Booking Capacity | Utilizes historical data to display the number of bookings that can be performed for the scheduled staff every hour - this takes into account the data from the previous 8 weeks. Additionally, we look at how many appointments the staff member was able to complete each scheduled hour or per clocked hour, depending on whether clocked hours were used or not. |
