In this article, we will walk through configuring your guest app for your clients.
Configuration
Once this setting is enabled, you will see this option added to your parent account under the Business Setup tab, this is called the "Consumer App".
- Navigate to Business Setup Consumer App
- From here, you can change the order and label of your display buttons. You can select which buttons to display based on what your app will provide:
- Appointment Booking - The appointment booking option when checked will expose a "Book Appointment" button on the guest app home page. Here your clients can click to book appointments with the business
- Class and Event Booking - The class and event booking option when checked will expose a "View Class Schedule" button on the guest app home page. Here your clients can view the classes/events scheduled for that current week and also book classes/events
- Check-in - The check-in option when checked will expose a "Check-in" button on the guest app home page. However, this button has no bearing on whether the client is automatically checked in or not.
- Check-In Button is Displayed When:
- The client does NOT have location access on their device, they are within 30 mins before the appointment and are within 20 meters of the store location (manual check-in is required. Clicking on the Check-In button prompts the client to open the location settings on their device)
- The client does NOT have location access on their device, they are within 30 mins before the appointment and they are NOT within 20 meters of the store location (manual check-in is also required.)
- Check-In Button is NOT Displayed When:
- The client has location access on their device, they are within 30 mins before the appointment and they are NOT within 20 meters of the store location
- The check-in button will not display and the clients WILL always be automatically checked in if the below is true:
- The user has turned on location services AND the user is within 20 meters of the store along with having an appointment that is less than 30 mins away.
- The manual check-in button, if enabled in the UI, has to check for location services. If location services are not enabled, a modal will pop up asking the user to Enable Location Services with two buttons, Enable and Cancel
- Enable takes the user to the mobile settings to enable location services.
- Cancel will take them back to the home page and they cannot use manual check-in.
- Check-In Button is Displayed When:
- Walk-in Waitlist - The walk-in waitlist option when checked will expose a "Walk-in Waitlist" button on the guest app home page.
- Purchase Gift Cards - The purchase gift cards option when checked will expose a "Purchase Gift Cards" button on the guest app home page.
- Purchase Packages - The purchase packages option when checked will expose a "Purchase Packages" button on the guest app home page.
- Purchase Memberships - The purchase memberships option when checked will expose a "Purchase Memberships" button on the guest app home page. memberships
- You can then use the drop-down arrow to select your app's home location preference for gift card purchases and whether or not to use the location's nickname
- Next, set your navigation and your button color
- The Navigation Color is for the overall page. You can set your background color and the font color separately
- The Button Color affects the buttons, links, and icons. You can set the background and the font color
- Set the preference for your Home page. Here you can add your logo and a header that can display your logo/display name or both
- Update the About section, this allows you to add images for your business
- Finally, set your Custom Sections and the Store Location:
- Custom sections allow you to add information about the business, image, and description. You also have the option to add more than one section but clicking the "Add Another Section" link
- The Store Location allows each child account is multiple to add their own store location images for their clients
- Once you have all your preferences, Save
